How to request a Jio eSIM?
If your smartphone is eSIM-ready, get your Jio eSIM by following 3 simple steps.
eSIM is a digital SIM card for your smartphone, smartwatch or tablet. Having an eSIM saves you plastic and fiddling around with tiny SIM cards.
1. Update and verify your Email ID
You will receive a verification code and the activation QR on this Email ID.
2. Enter your EID
Your EID is needed to ensure that the eSIM is activated on the right device.
3. Verify it’s you

Share confirmation on automated call
Answer call from +91 2235072222 and press ‘1’ to complete the eSIM request.
If you missed the IVR call, SMS "RECALL" to 199 for a callback.
In case of international roaming, send SMS to +917018899999 instead of 199 for the callback. Note, Charges will be applicable as per the bill plan/pack

Request eSIM via SMS
Send SMS to request
Type GETESIM<32-digit EID><15- digit IMEI> and send it to 199 from the Jio number you wish to activate eSIM on.
Give consent via SMS
To give your consent, type ‘1’ and send it to 199. With that, you'll get the eSIM profile and a QR code via SMS and email respectively.
Confirm on IVR call
Answer an IVR call from +91 2235072222 and press ‘1’ to confirm. After 2 hours as you get confirmation, activate your eSIM following our how-to guide.
Note: If you are outside India, send the SMS to +917018899999 instead of 199 for an eSIM request. For that, the Jio number you wish to upgrade for eSIM must have an active international roaming plan to send SMS and receive incoming calls. Note that SMS and incoming calls will be charged as per the applicable roaming rates in the host country.
